This product is finished with an intentional distressed look. Variations could occur that are not considered product defects but rather distinct characteristics creating indivduality. Natural cracks and knots are inherent in salvaged wood. There is no sealer applied but instead wax that will help age the product over time.  We recommend using coasters, placemats or tablecloths to protect the wood finish from stains.
