This product is hand finished.  Variations could occur in the wood or metal that are not considered product defects but rather distinct characteristics creating indivduality.  There is no sealer applied but instead wax that will help age the product over time.  We recommend using coasters, placemats or tablecloths to protect the wood finish from stains.
